This work stems from a collaboration with Sveva Conte, centered on the home of her recently deceased grandfather. The house seems to be still frozen at the moment of his death, suspended in time. Grief permeates the gray, dusty home, which no longer feels familiar. Starting from this profound sense of loss, the house was filmed through slow circular panning shots that explore the space without ever quite describing it clearly. The long focal length of the lens prevents the environment from coming into focus, which thus becomes a disturbing and formless landscape.
